Chasing Chayse....

This is Chayse....

You may remember Chayse from one of my post from a year or so ago, but you may not remember Chayse being so grown up! When Terry and Melinda took the little guy out of the car, I was like whow.... he's not so little anymore! This is what I love about being a family photographer.... I get to see these children grow and it never ceases to amaze me how quickly it happens.

I was so pleased when Melinda suggested outside photos for this session, while I love window light, nothing compares to the freedom and possibility that outside photos give you. It gives families a chance to explore and to be themselves because I can stand back and give them the space they need to relax. Once again, this family knows how to just be themselves. It always takes a few minutes for it to happen but that's the other nice part of repeat sessions, the awkwardness of first meetings is out of the way and taking great candid photos becomes easier.

Terry and Melinda have to be two of the sweetest people you'll ever meet. I have known Terry since he was not much bigger than Chayse is now and he's always been that way, so it didn't surprise me when he married someone equally beautiful... and when you put all that sweetness, beauty, and love together... you get a little person as amazing as Chayse!

I had such a terrific time with you guys and I can't wait to do it all again soon. Thank you so much for choosing me to be your family photographer!

Loving Logan.....

This is Logan.....

Logan is one of those kids that everyone falls in love with, so when this doggie came to visit us during our shoot, it was no surprise that he fell in love too! Not so sure that Logan was loving the full facial kiss thing though!!!!

When Kim called me up to say she wanted some new photographs of Logan and his big brother Jeremy, I was so excited. I met these guys about eight months ago through a friend of mine and we did a session at their home because Logan was too little to really do much outside, he was actually too little to even sit up on his own, but sitting up was no problem for him this time, so we decided to head outside for the session.

We went to one of my favourite places in all the world ... right here in CBS... a place where we could relax and let Logan just be himself. He has such a wonderful personality and the cutest little belly laugh you're ever gonna hear.... makes you laugh along with him and not want to stop!

His mom, his big brother Jeremy and his girlfriend Siobhan put up with the cold and my persistent chatter long enough to snap some great shots of them together. I had a terrific time and it was so nice to see you guys again.

Thanks for choosing me to be your family photographer!

Hope you like your preview.......

A Boy Named Harley....

This is Harley....

Now for any of you who know me.... You have to know that I was excited about photographing a boy named "Harley"!

Heidi contacted me a few weeks ago wanting to book a session and I remembered Heidi from when I use to live in Clarenville.... beautiful girl .... inside and out! I was so looking forward to it.

I meet them at Heidi's Grandfather's house on Marine Drive in Clarenville... who knew so many little treasures existed in a Pap's backyard. It all the makings of good photos for me... old rustic doors, wheel barrows, and even our own little cellar to work with... great choice of locations Heidi!

You can always see the love between a parent and a child, but the friendship between these two blew me away. There were times when the moment grew serious and Harley seemed so grown up and then there were moments where Heidi was a kid again and Harley loved her for it. You are a fantastic mom Heidi...  Harley is a fantastic kid.... and I had a fantastic time with you both!

Thank you so much for choosing me to be your family photographer.
